2024: The Year in Review

ABS Year in Review 2024 Blog

As we come to the end of the year, it is hard not reflect on everything that has happened in 2024. And what a year it has been for AIM Business School.

This year marked the 10-year anniversary of our online MBA, which we celebrated by offering three Full-Tuition Scholarships to deserving and ambitious Australian professionals. We also unveiled new branding that we are proud of and just recently got to enjoy the highlight of our year: Graduation!

Let’s take a closer look at some of these achievements, a testament to our unwavering commitment to our academic community and what we have in store for 2025.

10-Year Anniversary of Premier Online Education

This year marked a significant milestone as we celebrated the 10-year anniversary of our online MBA. Over the past decade, AIM Business School has evolved from a respected short course training provider into a leader in business higher education.

As our experience in teaching the next generation of business leaders has grown, we too have learnt some essential lessons. We are committed to listening to our current and former students, taking their feedback to create the best possible learning experience. As shown by our results in QILT’s annual Student Experience Surveys, we are proud to say that we have achieved on this aspiration.

The anniversary was a time to honour our history, acknowledge the contributions of our dedicated faculty and staff, and celebrate the successes of our students and alumni. To celebrate this milestone, we were excited to offer three Full-Tuition Scholarships to some of our nation's most ambitious and deserving individuals.

Full-Tuition Scholarships

One of the highlights of this year was providing three Full-Tuition Scholarships. This initiative aimed at providing opportunities for deserving students to access world-class education without financial burden.

Our three recipients were:

  • Andrea Harrison, who sought an MBA to help her develop the skills necessary for senior management roles within the building and construction industry. Andrea said, “This program will also allow me to contribute to greater female representation in leadership roles within the industry, serving as a role model for my daughter and other women.”
  • Taylor Basile, a solicitor working in the role of a General Manager for a medico-legal company. As a young female leader, Taylor is driven by a passion for continuous learning and self-improvement and said that the skills she would develop through an MBA are “crucial for navigating this evolving role and achieving my ambitious goals for the company.”
  • Jethro Pugh, the Operations Manager for Wyndham Tech School whose work strives to provide equitable access to STEM education, particular for underrepresented groups such as First Nations, low socioeconomic, CALD, neurodiverse, and female students. Jethro said that his MBA will help him achieve his goal “to bridge the gap between technology and education, creating environments where innovation can flourish”.

The overwhelming support from our community has been inspiring, and we are proud to have awarded these scholarships to talented individuals who embody the spirit of AIM.

Additionally, another 580 new students at AIM Business School were awarded smaller scholarships that provide tuition relief and allow easier access to career-changing higher education.

New Branding

While certainly not the most important event of 2024, we are nonetheless excited to have unveiled a new brand design across our website, guides, and other public media.

Our new brand identity is very schmick, if we do say so ourselves, and better reflects our contemporary and innovative approach to business education. Many thanks to our brilliant brand and design team who made this happen!

Graduation Ceremony

The graduation ceremony this year was again held at the beautiful Doltone House in Sydney and was a triumphant celebration of our students' hard work and perseverance. It filled us with joy, pride, and a sense of accomplishment as we watched our graduates embark on the next chapter of their professional journeys.

The Class of 2024 had a total of 629 graduates that we are grateful to include amongst our alumni. We could not be prouder of their success, which we hope is a testament to the quality education and support provided by AIM Business School, and we are very excited to see where their careers go from here.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we prepare for the year ahead, we are excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie before us. Our focus next year is to expand our academic offerings to ensure we can provide contemporary and relevant higher education qualifications for people working in all domains of business.

We will continue to foster an environment that nurtures innovation and leadership and look forward to embarking on this journey with our students, faculty, and the wider AIM community.

Thank you for being a part of AIM Business School's journey in 2024.
