Graduate Diploma in Management
The Graduate Diploma is designed with the senior manager mind, helping them advance their leadership skills and knowledge to the next level so they can continue to achieve their career goals. It is a Level 8 qualification according the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), which places it one level higher in complexity than a bachelor’s degree.

The Graduate Diploma in Management provides a solid grounding and depth of understanding of practical business strategies, applications, and a broad range of theory. Perfect for the busy senior manager, this mid-level postgraduate qualification can be taken standalone or as part of the pathway to MBA, can be studied online or as a blend of online and on-campus, and with a wide community of support available.
The eight core units are designed to equip you with the skills you need to be an effective leader and give you the confidence to apply the latest theory and ideas to real life situations. It is designed with a senior manager in mind, providing eight units that equip you with the core skills you need to progress through your career.
Units of Study
The Graduate Diploma in Management is available through online or a mix of both on-campus and online study modes, providing you with a blended approach to learning. Successfully completing the eight core units of the Graduate Diploma provides you with a formal qualification and allows you direct entry into the Master of Business Administration. You could complete the Graduate Diploma in as little as 16 months part-time.

Entry Requirements
The Graduate Diploma in Management has entry options for experienced managers, whether they have formal tertiary qualifications or not.
Enter with:
- Bachelor degree and two years’ relevant management experience
Alternatively, for managers who do not have a completed undergraduate degree, you can enter the MBA program by starting at the Graduate Certificate of Management with:
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma and three years’ management experience
- No formal tertiary qualification but five years’ relevant management experience
Successfully completing the Graduate Diploma gives you a formal qualification and allows you entry into the Master of Business Administration.
Study Mode

Blended
If it suits you better you can take a blended learning approach, mixing on-campus and online options to suit your situation at any given time. Pick and choose your unit based on study modes to reap the benefits of both online and on-campus study – it’s the ultimate flexibility.
Course Fee
AIM Business School charges individual unit fees which are payable prior to the date of commencement of that unit or 14 days upon invoice generated.
Payment of fees may be made by:
- cheque,
- credit card or
- application for FEE-HELP, a government loan given to eligible students to help pay part or all of their tuition fees.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer
Students who can provide evidence of previous study at a similar AQF level or demonstrable equivalent experience, may on application, be provided with Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer for up to 50% of a respective course. All applications for RPL will be assessed on an individual basis. For students seeking RPL based on experience only, an administration fee applies per unit for successful applications.
