At AIM Business School, we offer a variety of entry options to support both those individuals with relevant formal education and those looking to leverage their management experience.

Enter into the MBA pathway program with:

A bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of relevant management experience
A diploma or advanced diploma and three (3) years of relevant management experience
No formal tertiary qualification and five (5) years of relevant management experience

English Language Requirements:

Applicants whose first language is not English need to demonstrate proficiency in English with

  • IELTS overall of 6 with no bands lower than 5.5 or equivalent alternative English Language Test OR
  • Successful completion of studies in English (Language or Mode of Instruction) such as Year 12 at Australian High School or an Australian Diploma or higher qualification OR
  • Successful completion of secondary education that was taught and assessed in English in a country where English is the first language OR
  • Work experience: If you have lived and worked in an English-speaking country continuously for at least five years prior to the date on which you will commence your course, you will need to provide your CV with two references who can confirm the nature of work and date(s) of employment.

Technology Requirements

For your course you will need access to a computer satisfying the following minimum systems requirements:

  • Operating system: Windows, Mac OS X, Linux Software: Adobe Acrobat Reader (latest versions available for free download at Adobe website)
  • Internet: Supported browsers include Firefox 3+, Google Chrome 4+, Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and 8, Opera 9+, Safari 3+ (download latest browser software for free online). You will need a reliable internet connection, preferably Broadband (64 Kbit/sec or faster)
  • Access to a printer and digital camera/recording device may be required

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer

Students who can provide evidence of previous study at a similar AQF level or demonstrable equivalent experience, may on application, be provided with Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer for up to 50% of a respective course.  All applications for RPL will be assessed on an individual basis. For students seeking RPL based on experience only, an administration fee applies per unit for successful applications. Please view the schedule of fees for more information.

Australian Institute of Company Directors Credit Transfer

AIM Business School recognises the Australian Institute of Company Directors Company Directors Course and International Company Directors Course and provides credit transfer for one elective towards the MBA+ to enrolled candidates who have successfully passed the Company Directors Course or International Company Directors Course assessment.
