AIM Business School offers scholarships for enrolling students that recognise potential, reward achievement, and assist those overcoming career barriers.

These scholarships support recipients with $1,000 tuition relief towards the third unit of study they undertake.

Women’s Ascent Scholarship

The Women’s Ascent Scholarship supports the professional development of current and emerging Australian female leaders.

By enabling ambitious women’s access to impactful career-advancing postgraduate education, this scholarship helps build gender equality in senior management teams. This is an essential step towards a fairer Australian business landscape, while making organisations more resilient and successful by encouraging greater diversity of thought at the strategic level. 

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

To be eligible for consideration for the Women’s Ascent Scholarship, you must meet the academic entry criteria of the qualification you are enrolling into plus one additional year of relevant management experience.

Your application for this scholarship will also require a written response (250-500 words) explaining why you are an ideal candidate. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the following criteria: 

  • Your Leadership: how you have led your organisation or community to success
  • Your Resilience: how you have overcome adversity or friction in your career
  • Your Ambition: what you intend to achieve upon completing your studies 

Professional Pathfinder Scholarship

The Professional Pathfinder Scholarship assists deserving individuals in overcoming career and life obstacles to find professional success that matches their ambitions.

There are many talented and driven individuals who have not met their potential purely because they have not been given the opportunity to. This scholarship aims to help remedy this. If you are a member of a marginalised community, such as a First Nations Australian, or have experienced recent hardship, AIM Business School wants to enable you to carve your path to success with an impactful postgraduate education.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

To be eligible for consideration for the Professional Pathfinder Scholarship, you must meet the academic entry criteria of the qualification you are enrolling into plus one additional year of relevant management experience.

Your application for this scholarship will also require a written response (250-500 words) to explain why you are an ideal candidate and demonstrate the obstacles you have overcome. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Belonging to a marginalised or discriminated community
  • Recent reduction in work hours, salary, or earning potential
  • Job insecurity from disruption or technological advances (e.g. AI) 

Leadership Catalyst Scholarship

The Leadership Catalyst Scholarship seeks out ambitious professionals who need an impactful postgraduate education to take their career to the next level.

For early and mid-career professionals looking to progress towards senior leadership, it is essential to gain the highest level of management skills and knowledge. We have specifically created this scholarship to empower Australia’s most driven professionals and help them develop into the next generation of inspirational business leaders.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

To be eligible for consideration for the Leadership Catalyst Scholarship, you must meet the academic entry criteria of the qualification you are enrolling into plus one additional year of relevant management experience.

Your application for this scholarship will also require a written response (250-500 words) explaining why you are an ideal and deserving candidate. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Past Success: your previous experience developing your professional talents and creating a positive impact for others
  • Present Contribution: your current contributions to your organisation or community that demonstrates your ability to lead
  • Future Trajectory: your desire and drive to advance your career, build responsibility, and support the development of the next generation of leaders

Who are scholarships available to?

We designed our range of scholarships to cater to individuals from diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences. Our goal is to reward high achievement, champion equality of opportunity, and empower diversity of voice in business leadership, so our scholarships are available to anyone who matches these values. 

These scholarships are for:

  • Exceptional women working in management or leadership positions, or those who are seeking to advance into leadership positions.
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Individuals who are overcoming recent hardships that have negatively impacted their career or earning potential.
  • Successful and ambitious early to mid-career professionals.

If you are unsure of whether you are an appropriate candidate, we encourage you to reach out to an Admissions Manager for their advice and guidance on your applicability. 

Can I receive more than one of these scholarships?

No, you cannot receive more than one of these scholarships.

You can also apply for multiple different scholarships simultaneously if you believe you are a valid candidate, but you will only be able to accept one in the event that you are successfully selected for multiple. 

What benefit do these scholarships offer?

These scholarships support recipients by providing $1,000 in tuition fee relief for third unit of study undertaken in the course it was awarded for. The amount will be automatically deducted from the tuition fee liability (i.e. when invoiced for affected units of study, the fee reduction will be applied for you). 

How do I apply for a scholarship?

You apply for a scholarship as part of your course application process. It will require you to submit a 250-500 word written response explaining how you are a suitable candidate for the scholarship you are applying for.

The easiest way to apply for one of these scholarships is to speak with your Admissions Manager. They will provide you guidance on which scholarship/s you are a candidate for and how to write your submission. 

Is there any cost to apply for a scholarship?

No, there is no cost to apply. It is a quick and easy process that can be done alongside your course application, so we encourage everyone to apply and see if they qualify.
