Unit Description
Data and analytics have long informed business decisions, and artificial intelligence is now reshaping how those decisions are made. This unit is written for professionals who lead or contribute to data-informed work without necessarily holding a technical role. It develops a practical understanding of analytics and AI, the performance measures that matter to a business, and the frameworks managers use to turn analysis into strategy across finance, marketing, operations and organisational performance.

- Critically analyse the role of data, analytics and AI in strategic decision-making and organisational success.
- Evaluate and apply performance measures and analytics frameworks, including predictive and AI-generated indicators, to measure performance and inform strategy.
- Critically assess financial, operational and customer analytics, including predictive and generative AI applications, to identify insights that support competitive advantage.
- Interpret findings from data and AI and communicate them clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
