Unit Description
The Applied Capstone Project is the capstone unit of your MBA. It asks you to bring together, in a single sustained piece of work, everything you have developed across your specialisation, and to apply it to a real or realistic professional problem with the independence and judgement expected at this level of study. This unit uses design thinking as its structuring methodology, guiding you through empathising with and defining a real problem, ideating and prototyping a solution, and testing that solution under genuine scrutiny.

Learning Outcomes
- Independently scope and plan a professional capstone project addressing a real or realistic problem within their specialisation.
- Critically synthesise and apply frameworks and theories from across their specialisation to analyse a complex, real-world professional problem.
- Exercise independent professional judgement in developing and justifying recommendations under conditions of uncertainty or incomplete information.
- Critically evaluate the practical, ethical and organisational implications of a proposed solution.
- Communicate complex, integrated professional analysis effectively to stakeholders, including under direct questioning.
- Critically reflect on their own professional practice and development across the MBA in light of the capstone project.
